CIJ Awards 2025 Overview
The CIJ Awards celebrates achievements in real estate by recognizing outstanding projects, companies, teams, and transactions. Eligible nominations must be related to activities between November 2024 and December 2025 and will be judged based on their value to the market, with a focus on size, quality, design, value, timing, and team excellence.
Hall of Fame
Winners in each category will advance to the Best of the Best CIJ HOF Awards in May 2025 in Bucharest, Romania, where they will compete against winners from seven other Central and South-East European countries.
Administration
The CIJ Awards are organized and administered by CIJ EUROPE (CIJ Awards Administration Committee). All decisions regarding eligibility and the administration of the awards, including rule amendments, are final and binding.
Jury
Online Jury Voting Committee
Real estate professionals with at least five years of experience and representing companies active in the European market are invited to join the Online Jury Voting Committee via a dedicated digital platform. Participation is confirmed at the start of voting. Failure to vote within the specified time will result in forfeiture of voting rights without the possibility of substitution. The Committee consists of experts from both commercial and residential sectors. Representation limits vary by company size. The Online Jury Voting Committee holds a 39% share in the final decision.
Jury Committee
The Jury Committee is appointed by the CIJ Awards Administration Committee and includes top management from various real estate sectors such as funds, investors, developers, architects, and service providers. They vote only within relevant sector categories and exclusively decide the Grand Prix and Leadership of the Year awards. Substitutions are allowed under specific conditions, and the Committee can include up to 15 members. Jury members must abstain from voting in categories where they have nominations. Voting is confidential, conducted by secret ballot, and weighted at 61% of the final result.
Voting Procedures and Selection of Winners
The Online Jury Voting Committee and the Jury Committee vote separately and independently. Each member must select a winner in every category, abstaining where conflicts of interest exist. Votes are confidential and managed by an independent audit company. Winners are announced during the CIJ Gala Dinner and published online and in CIJ EUROPE magazine.
Nomination Procedures
Companies may nominate themselves or others, with a maximum of 10 nominations allowed. Nominations must be submitted on time and confirmed within two working days. The Grand Prix Award is selected from development category nominees.
Use of CIJ Awards Trademarks
Winners receive a plaque, diploma, and electronic trademark, which may be used without restrictions but must include the title “Winner of CIJ Awards 2025.”
Additional Regulations
Companies may enter multiple categories. Submitted projects must have all mandatory government approvals. A minimum of two nominations per category is required for voting. Jury decisions are final. Personal data will be stored and may be used for marketing activities. The event will be documented with photos and videos for publication by CIJ EUROPE and its partners.
Penalties
Violations of these rules may result in penalties, including loss of eligibility or withdrawal of awards and trademarks. Replication of plaques or statues is prohibited and will be treated as a violation.
