The 15th edition of the CIJ Awards Poland took place in Warsaw’s Westin hotel on 9th of November 2016 to honor the industry’s highest regarded projects, firms and leaders. The award filled evening featured a deluxe four-course dinner and the handing out of more than 30 prizes.
Hosted by Europe’s leading property magazine, Construction Investment Journal and co-organized by powermeetings.eu, the CIJ Awards Poland are the country’s longest-running commercial property awards event.
With a wide variety of companies and individuals honored that evening, Ghelamco Poland emerged as one of the big winners for its landmark scheme Warsaw Spire, which took five prizes, including the Best Office Development & Developer of The Year, as well as City Space of the Year, and Environmental Social and Sustainability Award (ESSA). Ghelamco also commanded the Leading Green Building Development & Developer of the Year for the same building, and the Best Office Lease of the Year for its Przystanek mBank project.
In the Leadership of the Year category, it was Stanislav Frnka of HB Reavis Poland who was called to the stage to pick up the award, while Best Residential Development & Developer prize went to Echo Investment for its project Park Avenue.
Best Warehouse Development & Developer of the Year prize went to Panattoni Europe, while the company’s “Hi, My name is Tony” campaign was recognized with Campaign of the Year award.
Griffin Real Estate picked up the Investment Transaction of the Year prize for its mega-sale of the Echo Investment portfolio to Redefine.
Cushman & Wakefield had a big night as well, having been invited to the stage three times in all to pick up awards statues for The Best Office Power Broker Team of the Year prize, Best Retail Power Broker Team of the Year and for Best Property Management Company of the Year.
Bilfinger HSG Facility Management won its first prize this year for Best Facility Management Company, while Savills was recognized as the Capital Markets Team of the Year.
